Jeffrey Meyers
Founder and Chief Investment Officer
Jeffrey Meyers founded Cobia in January 2008 and is responsible for all aspects of investment oversight, portfolio construction, and risk management. Prior to founding Cobia, Mr. Meyers was a Portfolio Manager at Intrepid Capital Management from 2003-2007, a Partner and Portfolio Manager of the Tech/Healthcare Fund at Ibis Management from 2002-2003, and an Analyst at Ivory Investment Management (1999-2002), SC Fundamental (1996-1999), and CM Advisors (1995-1996). Mr. Meyers has an M.S. in Atmospheric Science from UCLA, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. He was a George J. Lewin Scholar at Columbia University. Mr. Meyers is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Eric Cho
Senior Analyst
Eric Cho joined Cobia as an Analyst in 2020. Mr. Cho previously interned in investment banking, growth equity, and distressed investing. Mr. Cho graduated summa cum laude from Cornell University, where he received a BS in Applied Economics and Management and was named a Charles Dyson Scholar.
Ross Chanofsky
Controller
Ross Chanofsky joined Cobia as a Controller in 2022. Mr. Chanofsky was previously an account manager on the hedge fund administration & operations team at U.S. Bancorp. Over his 4 years at the bank, he had exposure to the equity, fixed income and derivate markets while performing both back- and middle-office duties for multi-strategy hedge fund clients. Prior to that, he was a financial advisor at Prudential Financial in the equites and fixed income groups, offering strategic advice on investments and client suitability. Mr. Chanofsky graduated from Binghamton University with a B.A. in Economics.
