Founder and Chief Investment Officer
Jeffrey Meyers founded Cobia in January 2008 and is responsible for all aspects of investment oversight, portfolio construction, and risk management. Prior to founding Cobia, Mr. Meyers was a Portfolio Manager at Intrepid Capital Management from 2003-2007, a Partner and Portfolio Manager of the Tech/Healthcare Fund at Ibis Management from 2002-2003, and an Analyst at Ivory Investment Management (1999-2002), SC Fundamental (1996-1999), and CM Advisors (1995-1996). Mr. Meyers has an M.S. in Atmospheric Science from UCLA, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. He was a George J. Lewin Scholar at Columbia University. Mr. Meyers is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Chief Financial Officer
Ari Bekhore joined Cobia as Chief Financial Officer in 2016. Mr. Bekhore was previously the Controller at Midsummer Capital, a small cap long/short equity and warrant fund. At Midsummer, Mr. Bekhore was responsible for all accounting and operations for the funds and management company, and drove initiatives to improve processes and maximize efficiency of the company’s mid and back office functions. Prior to joining Midsummer, Mr. Bekhore was a Senior Associate at Bank of New York Mellon in the Internal Audit group. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Mr. Bekhore was an auditor for both EisnerAmper LLP and RSM (McGladrey) LLP in their respective Financial Services Audit practices. Mr. Bekhore graduated magna cum laude from Touro College with a B.S. in Accounting.
Eric Cho joined Cobia as an Analyst in 2020. Mr. Cho previously interned in investment banking, growth equity, and distressed investing. Mr. Cho graduated summa cum laude from Cornell University, where he received a BS in Applied Economics and Management and was named a Charles Dyson Scholar.
